Overview & Highlights

Restaurante Casa de Corea, nestled in the heart of Bogotá on Cra. 14b #106-18, offers an authentic slice of Korean cuisine that warmly transports diners to the rich culinary traditions of the Korean peninsula. From the moment you step inside, the spacious layout and culturally inspired décor—complete with thoughtful art and multi-level dining rooms—set the stage for a memorable meal steeped in heritage and flavor.

The menu is a vibrant celebration of Korea’s bold, layered flavors. Diners rave about the Beef Rib Stew (Galbitang), where tender meat literally falls off the bone, melting softly with savory richness that comforts and delights. Venture into dishes like Dubu Kimchi, notable for its pleasantly pungent kick, or explore classics such as bulgogi, japchae, and bibimbop—each bursting with fresh, spicy, or subtly sweet notes that bring Korean food’s unique character alive. The generous variety of side dishes, some unexpectedly complex for mere accompaniments, speak to Casa de Corea’s dedication to an authentic and immersive dining experience.

While the food embraces Korea’s signature spiciness, the kitchen thoughtfully accommodates varying palates, offering sweeter alternatives for those less accustomed to heat. This considerate balancing act makes the restaurant inviting for newcomers eager to explore Korean flavors without feeling overwhelmed.

Service at Casa de Corea is consistently highlighted as friendly and approachable, though the pace may sometimes feel leisurely, especially during busy moments. Prices here range from around $7 to $16 USD, with the top-end dishes reaching $18 USD—fair for an experience that so genuinely captures Korean culinary artistry, albeit with a noted inclusion of tax in the final bill.

Practical considerations include limited parking options, with only street parking available nearby—a typical challenge in Bogotá that visitors should plan around. Despite this, customers find the visit worthwhile, especially on occasions like Sunday dinners when alternatives may be closed.

In essence, Restaurante Casa de Corea is a true gem for Bogotá’s food lovers searching for genuine Korean dishes made with care and authenticity. Whether you are a seasoned fan of Korean cuisine or approaching it for the first time, this welcoming spot urges you to sample a variety of dishes so you can find your favorites. It’s a flavorful cultural journey waiting just around the corner, inviting you to savor every distinct taste.

I went with my family and we had a reservation. Food there is somewhat spicy, though some options you can choose them to be sweet instead. I recommend ordering a little bit of various things the first time so you know what you like. Remember, Korean food is different than Colombian!

Great staff, real Korean food can be found here. Really delicious food and fair prices, I recommend the place, remnber most of the Korean food is a little spicy. Prices are from 7 to 16 usd. 18 usd the expensive one.

Service is good and very friendly, food is very good and feels like the Korean food I've tried in other countries. The two issues here: first, there is no parking there or close by, it's limited to street parking which in Bogota is to avoid; second, and this is almost a legal issue, prices seem a little over the fairness line at the beginning but while doing the check calculation they add the tax on top of menu prices, something that is supposed to be of concern in Colombia. Let's go to the food. Appetizer was Kiosas, and of the name reminds of Gyozas that's good because it is almost the same, these ones a little bigger than the standard Gyozas but the principle, meat inside a closed deep fried wheat container is the same; a little too heavy on the oil used for frying, but good in flavor and size. My main dish was a mix of pork, squid, and vegetables, cooked in spicy sauce; that one was seriously delicious, and it is good to finally find a place where they live by their promise of serving spicy food when ordered. Quick comment: don't miss the spinach served at the beginning of the meal, just amazing

Authentic Korean food. Fantastic establishment with abundant space and cultural displays across the walls. There are various rooms that could be used as private rooms and multiple floors within the building. Loved the various side dishes - some were rare to be considered side dishes. A positive nod there. The Beef Rib Stew (Galbitang) had the meat fall off its bones and the Dubu Kimchi was pungent.. I will have to return for their other traditional dishes. Massive props for making do with which ingredients are available while keeping the menu prices low. This is incredibly difficult to do and should be recognized.

Definitely a relief to find some familiar Asian food in Bogotá that actually does Asian cuisine justice. By no means the best Korean food I've had since I live in NY where Korean food is amazing but definitely worth having if you crave some barbequed meats or familiar stews. There was only one waiter shared throughout the entire restaurant so he was a little slow and scattered but the overall experience was good. The restaurant is tucked away in a very nice neighborhood. Come here if you want to see familiar Asian faces ;)

Open on Sunday for dinner. (Went to Biwon first but it’s closed on Sunday even though google says open so I came here instead) Excellent authentic Korean food. Kimchee soup, bulgogi, japchae, and bibimbop were all delicious. Accepts visa and MC. No AmEx.
